

Biography
Dr Furman is a Paediatric Gastroenterology Consultant. He qualified at the Univesity of Cape Town in 1991. He moved to the UK in 1994, where he went on to specialise in Paediatrics and Paediatric Gastroenterology in a sought after national training programme through the main London Paediatric Gastroenterology Centres, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Barts and The London Hospital, King's College Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital.
He has been a consultant for 11 years, and is the Clinical Lead at the Centre for Paediatric Gastroenterology at The Royal Free Hospital, having moved there from Great Ormond Street Hospital.
His main areas of interest are Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), Coeliac Disease, Food Allergy and Intolernce and Eosinophilic Oesophagitis and his research interests are concentrated in these areas. He also is an expert in Gastro-oesophageal Reflux, Feeding Issues and Constipation.
He is highly skilled in Paediatric Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
